About the examWhat Is the Practical Sensor Certification™?

This certification assesses the practical ability to correctly select and use sensors on the manufacturing floor and to deal with problems when they arise. We have systematically organized the practical sensor knowledge that is useful on the shop floor into the Official Handbook and made it objectively assessable through a certification, from a neutral standpoint not tied to any particular manufacturer. With two levels, you can prove your skills step by step according to your proficiency.

Basic

Basic Level
(Sensor Engineer Certification)

Your first step: this level covers everything from the basics of sensing to the principles of common sensors, measurement fundamentals and basic sensor selection exercises. Recommended study time: 1.5–2 months.

Advanced

Advanced Level
(Sensor Specialist Certification)

The higher level: in addition to everything in the Basic Level, it assesses how to deal with false detections on the shop floor, challenging detection tasks and the practical procedure for selecting sensors.

Official Handbook

Official Handbook
(FA Sensors: The Complete Guide — Basic / Advanced)

Two volumes, Basic Level and Advanced Level (11 chapters in total), matched to the exam scope. Full of principle diagrams and data tables, they are practical references you can turn to right away on the shop floor.
